6 Easy Smoothies
We just can’t get enough smoothie recipes. They’re simple, they’re healthy (they mask the taste of veggies pretty well), and they can be stored for whenever you want to eat them! Perfect for when you run out of time or ideas for a quick meal. Try these 4 smoothie recipes that can be easily prepped, frozen in freezer bag and saved for a busy day
BREAKFAST-READY BANANA BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE
Half of this speedy, delicious, protein-packed breakfast is made in the freezer. Yup. Instead of needing ice, this smoothie uses frozen banana and blueberries—frozen fruit makes ice in other smoothie recipes unnecessary, and the smoothie even creamier. Just tuck sliced banana and blueberries in a freezer bag and into the freezer until you need them. Then pop open the bag (thanks to easy open tabs), plop a frozen portion into the blender, add the rest of your ingredients and give them a whirl until breakfast is thick and ready to pour.
PINEAPPLE GREEK YOGURT SMOOTHIE SNACK
Greek yogurt is a fantastic mid-afternoon snack. Kick it up a notch by turning it into a tasty frozen treat. Freeze chunks of sweet pineapple in a freezer bag ahead of time, add them to the pineapple-flavored greek yogurt of your choice, thin with milk, top with a dash of bee pollen and voila! This burst of happy energy will keep you going until dinner.
